Carve, Create, and Connect: Woodblock Printing Comes to Lake Worth Beach
Lake Worth Beach has always been a city that celebrates creativity, and this June, locals will have the chance to try their hand at a timeless art form. A Woodblock Printing Class is coming to Propaganda, offering a fun and beginner-friendly evening of carving, printing, and artistic expression.
Led by instructor Jennifer Hemstreet, the class will guide participants through the fundamentals of relief printmaking. Students will learn how to transfer a design, carve a woodblock, apply ink, and create their own unique prints on paper. Whether you're an experienced artist or simply looking for a creative night out, no prior experience is required.
One of the most rewarding aspects of woodblock printing is the ability to create something completely personal. From bold graphic designs and nature-inspired patterns to custom artwork and wearable pieces, every print tells a different story. Best of all, all materials are provided, making it easy to show up and start creating.
Events like these are part of what makes Lake Worth Beach such a special community. The city has long been known for its vibrant arts scene, colorful murals, galleries, festivals, and independent businesses that encourage creativity and connection. Workshops like this offer residents and visitors a chance to learn a new skill while supporting local artists and venues.
